Who processes your data

What we collect, why, and on what legal basis

Contact form. We collect your name, email address, phone number (if you give one) and the text of your message. We use this only to answer your enquiry and to follow it up. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in replying to those who contact us and, where the enquiry concerns a specific property, the steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(f) and (b) GDPR).

Server logs. Like any website, the server hosting this site records the requests it receives — IP address, date and time, page requested and browser type. These keep the site running and help detect abuse, on the basis of our legitimate interest in the security of the service (Article 6(1)(f)).

This site has no user accounts, no comments, does not profile visitors and collects no data for advertising.

Cookies and third-party content

This site uses no analytics, advertising or social media cookies. There is no Google Analytics, no tracking pixels and no share buttons that follow your browsing. The typefaces are hosted on our own server, precisely so that your browser does not have to contact third-party servers to fetch them.

There is a single exception, and it is your choice: the office map on the contact page is provided by Google Maps. Until you allow it, the map is not loaded and no request is made to Google. If you allow it, Google receives your IP address and may store cookies on your device, under Google’s own policies. You can give or withdraw that permission at any time under Cookie settings, at the bottom of any page.

To remember your decision, the site stores a record of that choice and its date in your browser — and nowhere else. It is not sent to us or to anyone, and you can remove it by clearing the site data in your browser.

Who we share with

• Formspree, Inc. — handles delivery of the contact form messages. Its servers are in the United States, so sending the form involves a transfer of data outside the European Economic Area.
• Web hosting — the site is hosted by a hosting provider engaged for that purpose, acting as our processor.
• Google Ireland Ltd. / Google LLC — only if you allow the map, as described above.

We do not sell, rent or pass your data to third parties for commercial purposes. We may have to disclose it to public authorities where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Contact messages are kept [to be completed: period, for example 2 years after the last contact], unless they lead to a contractual relationship, in which case the statutory document retention periods apply. Server logs are kept for the technical period set by the hosting provider.

Your rights

You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected, to ask for its erasure or for the processing to be restricted, to object to processing based on legitimate interest, and to receive the data you provided in a portable form. To exercise any of these rights, write to geral@flb.pt. We reply within one month.

If you believe your data is not being handled lawfully, you may lodge a complaint with the Portuguese data protection authority, Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD), Av. D. Carlos I, 134 — 1.º, 1200-651 Lisboa, www.cnpd.pt.

Security

The site is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Access to the messages received is limited to the people in the company who need to handle them.
